Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) is fast becoming one of my favorite senators. Last week, I attended a hearing where she laid into an economist from the Heritage Foundation, pointing out the absurdity of claiming that extending unemployment benefits will lead to people not seeking jobs in an economic climate where there are 15 million people out of work but only 3 million jobs available. And, today, she had this exchange with Jon Kyl (R-AZ):
