Hazleton sits in the middle of an area that saw two violent struggles in late 19th century labor and immigration history. The Molly Maguires and the Lattimer Massacre apparently are forgotten. I wonder how many of the descendents of the Irish and Eastern European immigrants who received such shoddy treatment are among those who now direct their hatred at the Latino immigrants today?
